The World’s Youngest Populations

futurelab default header

This EuroMonitor report looks at the world through the prism of its young populations.

The proportion of population aged below 30 in the global population stood at 50% in 2012, down from 62% in 1980.

The below figure is fascinating. Look at Middle East and Africa. Not only do they look different and talk a different languages they are different they are young.

We are all aware of the much discussed issue of ageing. I am not sure if that is easier to solve than the one of too many young.
