Whenever anybody talks of Florida there is normally some reference to it being the old people’s state.
Indeed it does have the greatest number of over-65s but not by that many. The chart shows that 16.8% of the state’s population is 65+ but then Pennsylvania and West Virginia are only 1.5% behind. So yes Florida does have a lot of older people, but so do lots of other American States.
