This little message I got when I unsubscribed from a newsletter says nothing more than “we’ll give it a go but we’re not promising anything”. That’s nothing but a big FU to the customer. Seriously, if you going to do something for me, commit to it. This may be a minor touch point but it speaks volumes about the companies culture. The implication of messages like this is that putting the customer first is not running through the DNA of the company.

In the words of Yoda there is no Try.
