I was recently interviewed by Scott Henderson for the site New Empire Builders, which is a site dedicated to finding new startups, interesting non-profits, and interesting new firms.  In my conversation with Scott I talk about the idea of third wave capitalism — which rides atop the standard, global, infrastructure for knowledge work — the internet — and what it means for businesses and individuals.

The StartUp Curve, and Google Plus

I'm getting rather bored of how, following some relatively short space of time after launch, some people rush to declare the early demise of a particular service or startup usually based on little more than than an apparent dip in traffic or (worse) the author's isolated experience. It's happening right now with Google Plus, which I think is rather short-sighted and misses the point of it by a country mile.

Guest Post By:  Eric Bilginoglu

I’ve seen a dozen of Emerging Market entries by Big Multinationals in the last 10 years, which had to go through turnarounds or drastic management changes as early as in the first two years.

An Edible Tech Solution

Imagine getting hit with a food or drink craving while you're sitting in your seat at a sporting event. The seat cost you close to a left lung, so you don't want to waste a lot of time walking to the concession stand (and dealing with all of your fellow sports fanatics). So you text your order on your phone, and it appears before you a short time thereafter.

Sound like a great idea, right? To experience it, you'd have to be a fan of the Salt Lake City Real major league soccer team, and have bought your seat at Rio Tinto Stadium in sunny Sandy, Utah.
