I can count about 100 really innovative and unique products during the last 25 years. In truth I stopped believing in USP advertising in the 1980s. Back then, I fell in love with brands like IKEA or Diesel that cracked Unique Emotional Props. The ones that did it with more authenticity were more appealing to me than those that didn't.

It WAS bold of marketing directors to invest in digital and social media campaigns a year ago. In revisionist marketing thinking, if you hadn’t done it, you’d be crazy. If you’re the least bit curious about how digital and social media is impacting your brand, I’ll call your attention to a weeklong series about media growth in the F.T. (see link below).

These books are front and center on my coffee table at home for inspiration and just to look and relook through the mastery of photography. It's such an incredible art form. These books have had some important space on my desk for some time and never seem to go out of fashion.

I think it is a wonderful idea. I feel empowered by the idea. We live in an idealistic world. It removes obstacle to idealism. What a brilliant service.

Mark Gungor's presentation about the difference between women and men's brains is a must see. This has got to be one of the very best explanations about the difference between men and women I've come across. Being someone with four sisters and an animated mother this was GREAT.
