Most of us think of ourselves as honest, and unlikely to cheat, steal, or lie. In fact, just about all of us are subject to these failings, according to the experimental data Ariely has amassed.

I can see the problem, since social media technologies have democratized the tweaking, spinning, and obfuscating of the truth that used to be the exclusive purview of PR professionals.
