New FutureLab site in 'Public Beta'

A couple of years overdue, and a few months late (as these things always seem to go), we are proud to put our new site in public beta: http://beta.futurelab.net. Although the site is not entirely finished yet (some functionalities have not been activated yet, and most importantly, only about 1/3 of the content has been added), we think we're ready for feedback.

Futurelab Presentations on Slideshare

By: Stefan Kolle

After begging Slideshare for years (literally) to help us consolidate our various accounts into one without losing our stats, followers and embeds, we finally gave up, and simply re-uploaded all presentations. </end whining>

The upside is, all publicly available Futurelab presentations past and future are now accessible in one location for your enjoyment, http://www.slideshare.net/Futurelab/slideshows.

The Futurelab 100 - 4th Edition (2008)

What would you prefer if you were an A-brand? To be considered by the advertising and financial community as a brand that matters? Or to be considered as highly relevant and liked by ordinary folks that surf the internet? For companies like Coca Cola and Yahoo these questions are becoming every more relevant. Futurelab Makeover - tell us how you want it

By: Stefan Kolle

After two and a half years (during which we've grown to 50.000 regular readers and have been nominated for a Webbie) it's about time for a total makeover of the Futurelab universe, as the look has gone a bit stale. It's just sooooo 2006, don't you think?

Webbies: Thank you to our contributors

by: Alain Thys

I had to catch my breath when I heard the news, yet this blog has actually been nominated in the "Best Business Blog" category at the Webby Awards. As the co-nominees include blogging efforts by the likes of the FT or Business Week, it feels a little bit like the small Belgian film producer getting an Oscar nomination for the best animated short, which makes it all the more incredible.

Two Candles for the Futurelab blog

by: Alain Thys

On March 5, 2006 this blog was launched.  We didn't have a strategy behind it, and if asked didn't "really" know why we were doing it. All we knew is that we wanted to create a place where the sharpest and the smartest would bring together their thoughts in an environment uncluttered by advertising. For those who've seen Field of Dreams I could paraphrase ... "if we build it, they will come".
