Bill Gates Wants to Share Revenue with Users

I gues Christmas is coming early this year as Microsoft Chairman Bill Gates has apparently just announced on Indian Television that the company intends to start sharing some of their advertising revenues with the users of its search engine. 

This sharing could take the form of free software or even hard cash.  According to Gates the move intends to counter arch-rival Google who "keeps all the money to itself".

90% of PVR Viewers Adskip (yet they watch more TV)

The "big six" networks in the US (CBS, ABC, NBC, Fox, Warner and UPN) just published a study that people with PVR's actually watch more TV (5.7 hrs/day) than regular viewers (5.1 hrs/day). This as they are not hampered by time constraints any more.

Siemens Invents Video Labels for Food

If you thought narrowcasting and digital displays where the thing to focus on as a trendy marketeer, then think of this one.  Siemens has come up with a new type of electronically enhanced label which allows projecting video on the label itself.

Imagine going for eggs and actually seeing the chicken run around on the packaging.  Harry Potter ?  Long-term future ?  Not really, Siemens expects the product to be commercially available in 2007.
