Landing page optimization has a “renewed focus.” The focus used to be on driving traffic to your website, now it’s about driving conversion and getting people to take the desired action on your website or landing page.
Some tips include:
- Avoid confusing calls-to-action: Try not to use bright graphics and images that confuse and creates “noise.”
- Remove visual clutter: It can undermine your business goal and conversion. If an animation doesn’t directly support a conversion goal, it shouldn’t be there.
- Be clear with your purpose: What are the goals you are trying to achieve? Once you figure that out, visually focus on those items.
- Start with web analytics: Look at your bounce rates (the number of people who show up to your website and leave). Go through customer service inquiries and number of tickets logged to see what people are complaining about in terms of your website.
