If you are interested in the food industry then have a read of blog1 and blog2.

The first posting contains some interesting details about the levels of spend (in the US) on different expenditure areas. I feel that the precision of data reporting is a tad overdone but it gives a feel about how spending changes, or doesn’t, between the age groups.
