The latest data on multi-country TV viewing figures doesn’t support the view that watching the box is going out of fashion. You can read the long, long , long report from OFCOM “The International Communications Market 2009” if you have a spare week.
I wonder if the rise in viewing is explained by the increasing number of older viewers (i.e. it has nothing to do with the relative preferences for channels but a demographic effect). No idea. All is means is that throughout Europe, zillions of hours of time is spent watching the TV.
