When I first heard about this, I was speechless. This is one of the coolest things I’ve heard all year so far.

Apparently when you play on a Wii, the avatar(s) you create to represent your characters can be set to mingle… which means they’ll go roaming across the network and appear in the audience of other people’s games. User-generated audience, so to speak. 🙂

The quote in full from the PSFK blog: "The cool thing is you can set your Mii to mingle so when you're online your Mii will travel to other Wii systems. Very weird. I saw my geek mate Seth in the audience of a tennis game I was playing …fantastic…."

I don’t know if it’s possible to track where your Mii has been but it would be brilliant if you could. Or could set up a kind of ‘family & friends’ circle where you often appeared in their games & got to see the results of the games they played. Imagine if your Mii could even shout out cheers that you’d pre-entered… wow.

Sadly I do not yet have a Wii, I’ve been holding out for the next shipment to arrive in stores but if they don’t hurry up and get them re-stocked I may well resort to Ebay. I was interested in them for their workout potential, but now after seeing this I want one even more.
