SeniorDiscounts.co.uk is a new web site; at least it is new to me.
I have to say that when you go to the “About Us” section it doesn’t exactly tell you a great deal about the company.
If you're 50 plus this is your online gateway to save you money. We've done the hard work and gathered all the best discounts, great savings and deals on the internet and put them in one easy to access website- but to keep these offers available to you we need your help. The more you use this site, the more you recommend Seniors Discounts to your friends the greater the discounts we'll be able to offer you- it's that simple.
Like all ‘discount’ sites it has the “chicken or the egg” problem. Until it gets enough visitors it cannot negotiate any real discounts and until it does, it cannot attract visitors. In the interim it has to fill the site with padding.
Anyway, I wish the site owners well. I think they have the germ of a good idea with this site as the first point of call for the 50-plus looking for the best deals. The trouble is when nearly 40% of the population is 50-plus discounting becomes the norm.
