Web Sites and Computer Games For the 50-plus

The US finance industry is targeting the 50-plus with a series of dedicated web sites to help in the retirement planning process. New York Life, Allstate and MassMutual are just three examples.

Video games are becoming an accepted way of helping with the physiological effects of aging. There are 120 hospitals in Japan using video games in physical therapy and researchers in the US are developing games that use intellectual stimulation to help patients suffering from Alzheimer’s disease. Much has already been written about Nintendo and its Brain Age product.

Very slowly companies are seeing the business opportunities of technology based products and marketing channels.
