This same article also points out that “The population of the computer generated universe is increasing at a rate that rivals email’s growth 15 years ago”. Now of course, that’s starting from a relatively small base but still… There’s just something about what’s happening with SecondLife at the moment that reminds me of what I felt like when I first saw pictures appear on a webpage, moving beyond text.
